Granted a vision by the Gods (or possibly the echo), he now rides across Eorzea helping those valiantly in need and spreading the vows and in general being a do gooder. No one has the heart to tell him that he's either obliviously LARPing because he somehow managed to get his hands on a Paladin Job Stone. Here's to hoping he doesn't accidentally blow himself up.
