Keeping Track?

So I'm retiring the gameplay journal's older entries to a new page, because I feel like they don't really reflect the way that I am when looking through games and media anymore. Plus I was getting burnout. So maybe I'll be back to the big game pile, but I'm not gonna force myself to just play pokemon exclusively to try ang get something out of it.

Emerald Mini: Currently Playing:

What if the reigon was tiny? It's an adorable concept.
Gym battles are all in a row, trainer battles work a bit like that too since the routes are so small that all battles are pretty much mandatory now.
Wally is in place of your rival for the entire run, they're just gone now. It's an interesting way to build up his team since otherwise he only has 3 battles in base emerald.
Some of the small additions are real neat.
Like the trick master room is now just a long hallway Backtracking's not a big problem since everything is so small you can just run through all of Hoenn no problem! Kind of makes me appreciate how tight the gameplay loop is of pokemon like it's an equivalent to emerald rogue minus the randomization elements.
I'd love to see how other games would be handled in this "mini" format to be honest, when you strip everything down to its bare essentials and still have a fun experience that's a good way to start off!

Hiatus Notice/Up Next

I’m reducing the number of hacks down to a select amount so I don’t get selection paralysis These ones I already had on Delta. I've reduced the number down even further.

    Seaglass Baby Blue Yellow Legacy
I feel like my enjoyment tanked in between the sword runs. I don’t think I’ll be touching sword again after this year, maybe I can resell it or something. I’m going to go with like, the most popular ones and then work my way down from there.
Unbound Victory Fire Elite Redux Fool’s Gold Super Gold 97 Gaia GS Chronicles (plus other Gen 3 Gen 2 demakes) Dark Violet Dark Rising Ruby Destiny Light Platinum (note: talk about how bizzare Kosmo was later) Radical Red (note: I probably won’t go for many difficulty hacks aside from this one) Emerald Rogue Ultra Violet Prism Emerald Seaglass Dreams Adventures Red Red++ Glazed

Also don’t forget to finally start RPGXP games (maybe next year?)
