Hello!
Comics and Cartoons
Genre
I feel like this one can easily get upgraded to a bigger one since there's so much to cover in theory of like cartoons I used to watch as a kid, cartoons I watch now, webcomics like the ones I used to read, webcomics I'm reading now... Do I have anything in mind right now though? Not really. I thought I did but it kind of evaporated while I was working on other pages.
Mahou Shoujo/Magical Girls
Genre
I’m not really that big of a mahou shoujo person as I used to be, I did recently watch sailor moon crystal but I haven’t touched precure in years. I watched Tokyo mew mew once, read through a la mode, never checked the reboot.
Winx club and W.i.t.c.h were both good from what I remember.
I never actually kept up with winx club past the Nickelodeon one because at that point I had outgrown the series which is a lie because I still watch the 4kids and RAI English dub just fine.
Please don’t talk to me about the reboot. I pretend it doesn't exist.
I recently also watched through Madoka again but that’s like on the total tonal opposite of every other magical girl show here as like it’s own thing that spun a lot of media and stuff that like. Missed the entire point of the show I feel.
I’ve been meaning to watch through other shows like cardcaptor sakura,
mermaid melody, and jewel pets. Haven’t really gotten very far though.
I’ve also been watching miraculous ladybug. That one counts, right?

Another Reference to the Part Timers on the website. Look at these images of my characters before the game stopped working and when I fantasia'd a single character.

Sonic
Games/Multimedia
what you see is what you get, just a guy who loves adventure!
I like Sonic because he's a cool guy, he runs and he's as free as the wind (TM). I like his little cast of friends who show up and do whatever, Shadow's cool. Like Sonic is just cool to me.
It definitely feels like in my hazy memories that I watched Sonic X alongside the 4kids kirby dub but my experience with sonic is all over the place in terms of games and fan content (mostly flash content)
I also read through archie sonic!
The thing is about Archie sonic is that it’s technically also a continuation of a cancelled cartoon that being the Saturday morning DiC comic
which then branched off into becoming its own take on the modern continuity alongside still having like the American freedom fighter lore right
up until the very complex legal case involving BioWare basically going “hey can we copy your homework” for the echidna lore which
then led to a author of the comics (Ken Penders) getting very annoyed about that which then basically leading to like. The entire canon being wiped out. It’s as weird as it sounds.
The megaman crossover comic was used to cause the universal wipe as well.
The reboot was neat, for being like a sonic unleashed adaption and also like, reestablishing the world. Lotta adventures of sonic the hedgehog characters came back, Dulcy got a redesign but I liked her old vaguely dragon tales esque design, Breezie came back, uhhh…. They turned Sonic’s dog into like an actual mobian. I think various fan comic characters like Zielo made random cameos during events for some reason. They had another crossover with Megaman. Then it got cancelled.
The freedom fighters haven’t been seen since which kind of blows because Sonic Forces would’ve been the perfect Segway to just having them like. Show up.
As much as I’m a sonic fan I’m kind of terrible at actually playing the games outside of a select few of them and most of my other experiences were either watching shows, reading comics, or watching other people play, outside of the advance games, which I think they’re really nice looking, but also, some really good sprite work for all of the cast between here and battle. (The lore tie ins of shadow and this robot guy Emerl and then like in Advance 3 they rebuild Gemerl and he becomes Cream’s friend… that was nice.)
I'm hoping to change that maybe next year since I bought a bunch of 3D games from steam.
Starfy
Games
I’ll have you know that I brute forced my way through starfy 1, 2, and 3 without knowing a thing of Japanese since it’s mostly a puzzle based game. My most frustrating experience was that one maze level with a lot of trial and error.
I played through 5 which was localized as the legendary starfy as my intro to the series. It’s kind of fascinating in a weird way that starfy 1-3 is on switch online now.
In Japanese Only.
Did you know? Outside of Starfy's assist trophy in brawl, he actually makes another appearance in a nintendo game? In super princess peach, a cameo of starfy can be found with his sunglasses on!
